Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer to keep the technology running at our operational sites across Australia, supporting the systems that power logistics from warehouse floor to customer doorstep.

As an IT Support Engineer in our Operations team, you'll work out of our Jandakot fulfilment centre in Perth. You'll see no job as too small and no challenge as too big. You'll maintain a wide variety of tech, from fixing laptops to creating complex automations, troubleshooting live and in person while partnering with remote teams in areas like networking and robotics.

You'll have access to learning resources to develop your technical skills at your own pace, including the opportunity to earn industry-recognised qualifications. You'll work a rostered business hours shift Monday to Friday, along with a shared on-call rotation.

Key job responsibilities
  • First level of technical support for the Operations of the Fulfillment Center, covering a multitude of technical disciplines. You'll support multiple buildings around the area.
  • Allocating and maintaining IT equipment, managing multiple customer requests simultaneously.
  • Troubleshooting of IT related equipment, such as PCs, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, printers and other end user devices.
  • Responsible for the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and repair process for devices under warranty.
  • Learning new technologies and participating in career development opportunities within the IT network.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
  • Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals
  • High school or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
  • Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
