About the Role

Blitzy is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to serve as a frontline technical resource for our growing team. In this role, you'll handle day-to-day service desk tickets, support new hire onboarding, and manage end-user access across our core business applications. You'll also play a role in higher-level projects, including MDM rollouts, VPN configuration, RBAC implementation, and office buildouts, working closely with cross-functional teams to keep Blitzy running smoothly as we scale.

This isn't a purely reactive help desk role. At Blitzy, you'll have a direct hand in shaping the systems and infrastructure our team relies on every day, from MDM strategy to office buildouts. You'll work in a fast-moving environment where your input on design-level decisions actually matters, and where solving problems proactively is valued as much as fixing what's already broken.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve day-to-day service desk tickets, delivering fast, reliable Tier 1 support in person and remotely while consistently meeting SLA targets
  • Administer Okta and provide general employee services support
  • Onboard new hires end to end, including provisioning accounts, devices, and application access on time
  • Manage and troubleshoot wired and wireless network stacks
  • Administer and support MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune) across Mac and Windows devices
  • Provide on-site hardware support for offices, meetings, and events
  • Contribute to design-level decisions for infrastructure projects -including MDM rollouts, VPN, and RBAC and follow through on implementation
  • Support office buildouts and related IT infrastructure needs
  • Create and maintain thorough, current internal IT documentation the team can easily reference
  • Build strong cross-team relationships, positioning IT as a proactive, trusted partner across the business

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in an IT support or service desk role
  • Hands-on experience supporting Mac, Windows, and Linux computers in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, and JIRA
  • Experience with MDM tools such as Jamf and Intune
  • Basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50 lbs or more
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working across multiple concurrent projects
  • A proactive, self-directed approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building relationships across teams
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly
  • Experience with Meraki and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure); relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Jamf Certified Admin, or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator are a plus
  • Prior involvement in multi-team projects such as MDM rollouts, VPN deployments, or RBAC implementations
