Job Description:
Dell IT is looking for a new kind of campus hire: AI-Native Engineers ready to make an accelerated impact from day one. As part of the IT Development Program (ITDP), you'll rotate across high-priority teams, partnering with experienced engineers, architects, data scientists, and product leaders to build intelligent solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. We are seeking recent graduates who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience applying Generative AI technologies such as copilots, AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to solve real-world problems.

What you’ll achieve
As a part of the IT Development Program, you'll experience rotations during your first two years in Dell IT. This rotation program is designed to provide broad exposure across different technology teams while helping you build the skills needed for a successful long-term career.
During the program, you will complete two one-year rotations before being placed in your final role upon graduation from the program.

Depending on business needs, your day-to-day role may include:
- Develop and deploy AI-powered applications, assistants, agents, and intelligent workflows
- Must have qualified from relevant degree fulltime education level 8 2026 or 2027.
- Build scalable software solutions using cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices
- Design and implement integrations across enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and AI services
- Contribute to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and automation solutions that improve business productivity
- Partner with architects, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and operational excellence practices to ensure reliable and scalable solutions
- Use data and experimentation to improve customer and employee experiences
- Learn emerging technologies quickly and apply them to real-world business challenges
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning
- Strong foundations in software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or C++
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications, solutions, or automations through internships, research, coursework, hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects
- Experience working with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Evidence of ownership, accountability, and delivering measurable outcomes

Desirable Requirements
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies
- Experience building AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, workflow automations, or intelligent recommendation systems
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience working with APIs, microservices, containers, or event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and agile software development practices
- Understanding of data engineering, databases, and modern data platform concepts
- Experience participating in hackathons, research programs, technical competitions, or open-source communities
- Portfolio of projects demonstrating practical application of AI technologies to real-world business or technical problems
