Job Description

Marketing Managers are responsible for the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function. The role involves working individually or with a team to recommend actions, schedule and plan projects, analyze economic considerations, estimate costs, and manage projects to completion.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary marketing commercialization lead for Visa Value Added Services banking and issuing solutions portfolio in North America, providing market intelligence, customer insights, and strategic recommendations to inform product, GTM, and growth priorities. 
  • Drive and deliver regional VAS Growth Marketing programs with a focus in demand generation and market education for Issuing and Risk and Identity Solutions 
  • Build marketing programs that generate measurable pipeline and drive account engagement to deepen client relationships and expand solution adoption  
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales, product, GTM, and executive leaders across the VAS and Financial Services ecosystem to align marketing programs with business goals, drive net new revenue opportunities, and cross-sell and upsell solutions.  
  • Translate Business Unit, Solutions and Product priorities into actionable growth marketing plans, leveraging content and best practices to drive awareness, demand generation, and partner engagement across Issuing, Processing, Core Banking, Loyalty, Digital, and Risk and Identity solutions.  
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and client requirements to deliver effective marketing programs driving revenue creation and pipeline progression. Partner with business stakeholders to deliver sales enablement and value prop messaging.  
  • Lead the alignment and execution of key industry and Visa-hosted events to business priorities, including pre-event positioning, onsite activation, and post-event follow-up to maximize client engagement and pipeline growth 
  • Content Localization and Development - Drive localization and adaptation of marketing and sales content to meet unique regional and customer needs and develop region-specific materials to support sales and partner conversations. 
  • Own measurement and reporting of portfolio marketing performance, tracking pipeline contribution, revenue influence, account engagement, and solution adoption. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize marketing investments, improve business outcomes, and inform portfolio growth decisions. 

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,  JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD 
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and partner with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong understanding of the financial services audience, including banks, issuers, processors, fintech's, and risk management stakeholders. 
  • Executive presence with outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present and influence at all levels. 
  • Highly collaborative, energetic, and solutions-oriented, adds value to team and organizational culture. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, data-driven with a focus on measurable business outcomes. 
  • Culturally aware, with experience working across global and regional teams. 
  • 8 plus years of progressively responsible experience in B2B marketing or communications, preferably within Financial Services, Payments, or Technology sectors. 
  • Deep experience in marketing strategy, go-to-market planning, demand generation, and launching new products and solutions. 

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $134,600.00 to $ 215,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
