Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Summary of Roles
The IP PM & QA Intern will support the management, governance, and quality assurance of internal and third-party semiconductor IP portfolios. This role provides exposure to the complete intellectual property lifecycle, including IP planning, qualification, release management, quality governance, customer support processes, and business analytics.
The internship offers hands-on experience working with semiconductor IP development flows, quality management systems, digital transformation initiatives, and data-driven decision making.
Essential Responsibilities & Project may include:
IP Program Management
- Assist end-to-end IP lifecycle management activities from onboarding through release and maintenance.
- Maintain IP records, IP catalog information, and IP identification (IPID) databases.
- Support preparation of project status reports, dashboards, and management reviews.
Quality Assurance
- Assist in executing IP quality compliance processes and quality milestone tracking.
- Assist in audit preparation, process documentation, and Quality Management System (QMS) activities.
- Support data validation and integrity checks across engineering systems.
Data Analytics & Digital Transformation
- Develop Power BI dashboards for IP portfolio health, IP usage tracking, royalty reporting, quality metrics, or operational KPIs.
- Perform data mining and business analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Automate reporting workflows using Power BI, Excel, Power Automate, or scripting tools.
- Generate executive summaries and operational reports for management reviews.
Process Improvement
- Support creation and updates of templates, and training materials.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate IP management processes.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding on semiconductor design or manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with data analysis using Excel, Power BI, SQL, or Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong programming and automation skills, AI-assisted software development, or AI-based workflow automation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.
- Technical skills on EDA tools, Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Automate, Data visualization and Dashboarding, Copilot Studio
- Familiar with Kiro or Chip Nexus
Expected Deliverables:
- Deliver a project around IP PM & QA
- Present internship findings and recommendations to management.
