This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through Winter/Spring term (ending approximately May 2027) or continuing into Summer 2027 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

This MBA internship offers hands-on experience in market intelligence and customer research. The intern will support strategic decision-making by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data on markets, competitors, industry trends, and customer behaviors. You will contribute actionable insights that inform product development, marketing strategies, go-to-market plans, and business growth initiatives in a dynamic business environment. This role suits students passionate about data-driven strategy, customer-centric thinking, and translating research into business impact. Strong candidates demonstrate intellectual curiosity, rigor in analysis, and clear communication of insights. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy custom AI agents powered by LLMs to autonomously gather, process, and synthesize competitive intelligence and secondary market research
  • Act as a technical product owner by mapping stakeholder workflows, identifying efficiency bottlenecks, and gathering requirements to iteratively build personalized tools based on user feedback
  • Continuously monitor emerging AI frameworks and automation technologies, prototyping novel use cases to keep the team at the forefront of operational efficiency
  • Apply programmatic methods to process large volumes of qualitative and quantitative customer research (surveys, interviews, journey mapping) to refine ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and uncover unmet needs
  • Support the team by analyzing CRM data, market sizing, and customer behaviors using traditional analytics (Excel, Tableau) to identify actionable business growth opportunities
  • Deliver compelling presentations and dashboards to leadership that clearly articulate strategic business recommendations and demonstrate the ROI of newly developed technical solutions

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in STEM or an equivalent graduate program (e.g., Business Analytics, Information Systems) with a strong technical and analytical foundation or related
  • Experience creating, prompting, or working with AI agents and Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Junior software development skills with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, and familiarity with building custom internal tools or workflow automations
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI); experience using code to manipulate data (e.g., Pandas in Python) is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data and technical concepts into actionable, stakeholder-friendly business formats
  • Self-starter with a builder's mentality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance strategic business thinking with hands-on technical execution

Expected Compensation

$21.63 - $37.02 + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
