This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through Winter/Spring term (ending approximately May 2027) or continuing into Summer 2027 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internship.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager intern to support the Pre-Owned Sales Operations  by managing retail inventory volume and optimizing vehicle turn times. In this role, you will help coordinate the end-to-end process of flipping vehicles from listing to customer delivery within target turnaround times. You will use data and cross-functional collaboration to reduce dwell, improve throughput, and ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of pre-owned retail inventory volume from listing through customer delivery
  • Track and monitor vehicle turn times against targets using dashboards and reports
  • Coordinate with teams on inspections, repairs, titling, and preparation for sale
  • Analyze inventory data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
  • Assist with logistics, scheduling, and status updates to keep vehicles moving
  • Help standardize workflows that accelerate flips and minimize delays
  • Communicate insights and escalations to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling) and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or Tableau to support operational decisions
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation to streamline and scale complex processes is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills — able to present findings clearly to cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on operational efficiency
  • Prior experience in supply chain, operations, inventory management, or a related field preferred

Expected Compensation

$21.63 - $37.02 + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
