About the Team:
The Firmware Content Management team ensures that in-car content and features are localized for users around the world. We own the full firmware localization pipeline — vehicle UI translations, software Release Notes, media apps, and other in-vehicle content — so every customer receives the right experience for their language, region, and vehicle.
As an intern, you’ll sit at the intersection of content, code, and global impact, helping build tools and automation that let us deliver high-quality, localized firmware content faster and more efficiently. You’ll contribute to end-to-end localization workflows for Tesla’s over-the-air (OTA) software updates, spanning UI strings, Release Notes, media apps, and related firmware content. Your work will have immediate, visible impact — including on social media, where Release Notes and new in-car features are frequently shared by users around the world.

- AI: Prompt engineering for Grok 4.5; vector embeddings and semantic search for RAG
- Tools: Jenkins; Git / GitHub; Docker (used to run databases and workers locally)
- Understanding of internationalization (i18n) concepts and workflows; experience with Qt Linguist (.ts) or XLIFF (.xml) is a plus
- Basic understanding of file handling, data mapping, and API integration
