What Will You Contribute?

As an Intern at Finastra, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful projects that support our business objectives and customers worldwide.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives within your assigned business function.
  • Assist with research, analysis, reporting, and project-related activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders on ongoing projects and business priorities.
  • Participate in identifying process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Gather, organize, analyze, and present data to support business decision-making.
  • Develop presentations, documentation, and other materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Attend team meetings, workshops, and learning sessions to gain exposure to business operations and industry best practices.
  • Support testing, validation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives, as applicable to the function.
  • Participate in Agile, project, or team collaboration activities depending on business needs.
  • Demonstrate strong accountability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn while contributing to team goals.

Function-Specific Opportunities

Finance Intern

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with financial analysis and performance tracking.
  • Help prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within finance operations.
  • Gain exposure to financial controls, compliance, and risk management practices.

Sales Intern

  • Support account management and business development initiatives.
  • Assist with market research, prospect identification, and customer analysis.
  • Help maintain CRM data and sales reporting activities.
  • Collaborate on customer presentations, proposals, and sales enablement efforts.
  • Gain exposure to sales processes, customer engagement, and revenue growth strategies.

Product Management Intern

  • Assist with product research, competitive analysis, and market assessments.
  • Support gathering and documenting customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions and feature prioritization activities.
  • Help monitor product performance metrics and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams on strategic initiatives.

Software Development Intern

  • Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance improvement activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and software development best practices.
  • Work with development tools, version control systems, and Agile methodologies.
  • Contribute to innovative technology solutions under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as:
    • Finance
    • Accounting
    • Economics
    • Business Administration
    • Marketing
    • Computer Science
    • Software Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Product Management
    • Or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.

Preferred

  • Previous internship, project, academic, or extracurricular experience related to the chosen field.
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting tools, or relevant business technologies.
  • Understanding of financial services, banking, software, SaaS, or fintech industries.
  • Experience working on team-based projects, research initiatives, or case competitions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or project management concepts.
  • Participation in student organizations, leadership programs, hackathons, or volunteer activities.
