Description and Requirements
Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to transform provided training materials and subject matter into engaging, interactive, and high-quality eLearning experiences for a global audience.
This role focuses on instructional design, eLearning development, multimedia production, and AI-enhanced content creation. The Instructional Designer will work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and content developers who provide the source content and technical expertise, and will be responsible for turning that content into effective and engaging digital learning experiences. The ideal candidate is creative, highly proficient with eLearning authoring and multimedia tools, and interested in leveraging emerging AI technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of training development.
Our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Services Education team primarily consists of course developers with a background in enterprise servers and storage. In addition, we have instructors, technical writers, learning management system (LMS) development, and video production. Our focus is on design elements and delivery methods that transition technical support more towards in-line training. New products require a course, simulator, and wiki page. The team has access to systems under development as well as announced hardware and solutions for education development. We leverage our labs, studios, and classroom or conference rooms to develop and deliver the training materials we produce.
Responsibilities
• Experience developing interactive e-Learning courses, video-based learning and any supporting training material in a professional environment.
• Ability to manage, implement, drive, and track projects in a deadline driven environment.
• Works with project managers, subject matter experts, product development, and vendors.
• Knowledge and experience in enterprise systems.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design or relevant discipline
• 5-8 years of relevant e-Learning & Multimedia Development (e.g. Articulate 360)
• Content Development – at least 3 years of experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a strong working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
