Industry Solution Manager – Aerospace & Discrete Industries
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview
As an Industry Solution Manager, you will be part of the Technical Account Manager organization and help customers and prospects transform business and engineering challenges into digital transformation projects, software solutions, and measurable outcomes.
The role combines industry knowledge, business acumen, analytical thinking, and technical leadership. You will contribute to the technical and strategic planning of accounts in partnership with commercial account leaders, while dedicating a significant part of your work to the execution and development of selected opportunities.
You will technically lead opportunity development by structuring the project and conceptual solution architecture, orchestrating specialists across multiple disciplines, and ensuring solution consistency, quality, and documentation in a proprietary Siemens platform for project construction, documentation, and architecture. While the position carries an individual PreSales target and directly contributes to sales objectives, it does not own the commercial sale or commercial negotiation.
The primary industry focus will be Aerospace & Defense, without being limited to it. The position will also support discrete manufacturing customers, including Automotive, Industrial Machinery, Heavy Equipment, and related segments. Aerospace & Defense experience is preferred but not mandatory; strong candidates from other industries, or candidates with high learning potential, may be developed for the segment.
Key Responsibilities
• Contributing to the technical and strategic planning of accounts in collaboration with commercial account leaders, identifying land, expansion, and software adoption opportunities aligned with customer priorities
• Technically leading selected opportunities from discovery and problem framing through solution scope, conceptual architecture, roadmap, and value proposition
• Orchestrating product, solution, industry, and domain specialists, creating clarity around objectives, responsibilities, decisions, risks, assumptions, and deliverables without relying on direct authority
• Leading consultative conversations about business challenges, industry trends, processes, competitive dynamics, and digital transformation, building credibility as a trusted partner
• Translating technical and business needs into clear solution visions, executive briefs, presentations, narratives, and value-focused materials for technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders
• Developing business cases, return-on-investment analyses, and financially qualified value propositions that support investment decisions and differentiate Siemens
• Ensuring that the proposed solution is coherent, integrated, and properly captured in a proprietary Siemens platform for project construction, documentation, and architecture
• Supporting proposals and competitive processes by consolidating technical and value contributions for offer materials, RFP responses, and customer presentations
• Actively participating in account, pipeline, and forecast reviews; contributing to sales objectives and carrying an individual PreSales target associated with assigned accounts and opportunities
• Building and sharing knowledge about industries, processes, use cases, value propositions, tools, and best practices, contributing to the continuous development of the PreSales community
• Facilitating the transfer of relevant strategies, stakeholder information, and assumptions to implementation and customer outcomes teams
• Operating with integrity, quality, safety, and compliance while protecting Siemens values and reputation
Qualifications
• Completed higher education degree, regardless of field of study
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated impact in technical, analytical, commercial, consulting, industrial, engineering, technology, or customer-facing environments
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical and business topics, structure complex problems, connect information, and develop outcome-oriented recommendations
• Clear written and verbal communication, with strong presentation, storytelling, facilitation, and audience-adaptation skills across technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders
• Technical curiosity and aptitude, with the willingness to rapidly learn technologies, industrial processes, SaaS business models, and a broad software portfolio
• Demonstrated learning agility, growth mindset, and self-motivation through initiative, active feedback seeking, self-directed learning, and readiness to take on new challenges
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense or other discrete manufacturing industries, including Automotive, Industrial Machinery, and Heavy Equipment
• Experience in PreSales, consultative sales, business development, consulting, customer success, B2B product marketing, or other customer-facing roles
• Familiarity with engineering, product development, manufacturing, and digital transformation processes
• Knowledge of industrial or engineering software, including PLM, CAD, CAE/Simulation, Digital Manufacturing, MES/MOM, Digital Twin, or industrial SaaS solutions
• Experience developing business cases, ROI analyses, value propositions, complex proposals, or transformation roadmaps
• Familiarity with CRM tools, especially Salesforce, Microsoft 365, and collaboration platforms
• Spanish language skills
