Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing industrial gas systems in semiconductor, manufacturing, electronics, chemical, or similar industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial gases, gas distribution networks, storage systems, pressure regulation systems, vaporizers, and associated equipment.
  • Experience with gas system design, engineering calculations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations related to industrial gases and hazardous materials.
  • Strong project management, analytical problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor or high-technology manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of hydrogen and specialty gas systems.
  • Certification in Project Management, Professional Engineering, or relevant technical disciplines.
  • Experience with operational excellence, reliability engineering, and energy optimization programs.
  • Knowledge in Cryogenic piping would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge on AutoCad and MS Project

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, plan, forecast, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities for industrial gas systems, including LN₂, N₂, LCO₂, Plasma Gas, Forming Gas, and LPG systems, to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted gas supply to manufacturing operations. Monitor, analyse, and measure system performance and effectiveness following maintenance activities, implementing corrective and improvement actions where necessary
  • Lead gas-related CAPEX projects from concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and root cause investigations for gas-related incidents and system failures.
  • Collaborate with production, facilities, EHS, and external suppliers to optimize gas consumption, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase reliability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, maintenance plans, and engineering standards.
  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies to maximize system reliability, availability, and operational efficiency. Implement Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) on the gaseous systems to improve system efficiency
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for gas system failures and supply interruptions. 
  • Manage vendor, contractor and service provider activities for maintenance, inspections, statutory compliance requirements (DOSH and DOE) and service level agreements. 
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, operating procedures, and technical documentation for all industrial gas systems.
  • Support as necessary on the NXP expansion project from industrial gases perspective
