ICSD _ Server Hardware SIT (System Integration Test) Engineer

TSMC IT is seeking a skilled and experienced Server System Integration Test Engineer to ensure the reliability and functionality of server systems and storage solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in server testing, including planning, execution, and performing hands-on operations independently.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing and executing test plans for rack/server functionality and reliability.

2. Supporting server installation, operation, and maintenance across all data center locations.

3. Managing hardware inventory, BIOS/BMC/firmware version control, and ensuring compatibility across systems.

4. Tracking and addressing production hardware issues, providing follow-up and resolution.

5. Creating and maintaining operation documentation.

6. Conducting OS compatibility testing for server systems.

7. Coordinating and troubleshooting production hardware issues to ensure seamless operation.

Job Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware/software/firmware integration or testing, with a focus on SIT or DQA within the server/storage industry.

3. Knowledge and hands-on experience with IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) and RESTful API function validation.

4. Experience working with APIs and server development.

5. Familiarity with virtualization technologies for server, storage, networking, and network functions.

6. Experienced in event/incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
