Your Mission
We are excited for an HR Business Partner (Temporary) to join our HR team at Blizzard Entertainment. This role will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leaders across multiple teams, helping translate business priorities into integrated people and talent solutions.
Working closely with leaders, HR Business Partners, and centralized HR teams, this person will support short- and long-term organizational priorities across areas including organizational design, workforce planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, organizational change, employee relations, compensation, and leadership development.
This role requires a collaborative, analytical, and influential HR professional who can build strong relationships, operate effectively within a matrixed environment, and balance strategic thinking with strong execution. The successful candidate will use business context, people insights, and sound judgment to identify opportunities, solve organizational challenges, and help leaders create an environment where employees and teams can do their best work.
This role is a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. This role will be based in Irvine, CA.

What You Will Do:
- Serve as a strategic HR partner and trusted advisor to leaders, developing a strong understanding of business priorities, organizational needs, and talent considerations.
- Partner with leaders to translate business goals into practical people strategies and solutions across organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and consultation on organizational structure, role clarity, team effectiveness, and workforce needs, helping leaders identify solutions that support both near- and long-term business objectives.
- Support organizational change initiatives, partnering with leaders and HR stakeholders to assess employee impacts, identify risks, and enable effective implementation and communication.
- Partner with leaders and COEs to execute key talent and HR processes, including performance management, talent planning, succession discussions, compensation and rewards, employee engagement, and development planning.
- Use people data, organizational insights, and business context to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide informed recommendations to leaders.
- Partner on workforce planning and staffing discussions, including organizational needs, talent priorities, and annual planning activities.
- Coach and advise managers on leadership, team effectiveness, employee development, performance management, and other people-related matters.
- Navigate employee relations and performance matters in partnership with Employee Relations, Legal, Labor Relations, and other appropriate stakeholders, helping ensure consistent and thoughtful outcomes.
- Partner with HR central and other HR teams to deliver integrated solutions across talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, learning and development, employee relations, and other people programs.
- Support effective execution of regular HR processes and operating rhythms, ensuring leaders understand expectations, timelines, and organizational priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR practices, processes, and employee experiences and participate in cross-functional HR initiatives as needed.
- Help foster an inclusive, high-performing culture where employees are supported, engaged, and able to contribute to their full potential.
- Provide flexible support across the Game Development HR Business Partner team, stepping into additional priorities, projects, and business needs as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including meaningful HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience supporting leaders and teams within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders and influence people decisions through business understanding, sound judgment, and data-informed insights.
- Experience across key HR disciplines, including organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, talent planning, employee engagement, organizational change, labor and employee relations.
- Strong working knowledge of modern HR operating models, including HR Business Partners, shared services, and centers of excellence.
- Experience using people data and analytics to identify trends, diagnose organizational challenges, and inform recommendations.
- Strong consultation, coaching, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate employee relations and performance matters in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
- Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- High emotional intelligence, strong critical-thinking skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively through ambiguity and organizational change while maintaining attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $89,280.00 - $165,168.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
