Responsibilities

The Compliance Specialist ensures that the organisation’s HR practices comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves conducting regular audits, performing risk assessments, investigating compliance concerns, and providing training to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards. The Compliance Specialist supports the development and implementation of compliance programmes and collaborates with various departments to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
  • Collaborates with HR, Recruiting, Legal and other departments to address compliance issues and ensure adherence to internal policies
  • Engages with external agencies and regulatory bodies to support compliance
  • Assists in delivering compliance training and communicating policy updates to employees
  • Identifies compliance risks within daily operations and collaborates with departments to implement corrective actions
  • Supports in aligning compliance processes with business goals
  • Assists in the development and optimisation of compliance-related systems and processes, such as SOX checks and documentation tracking

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of compliance or regulatory experience in HR operations
  • Basic understanding of HR laws, SOX compliance, benefits audits, and work permit regulations
  • Strong research, auditing, and problem-solving skills
  • Comprehension of compliance training and policy communication
  • Familiar with compliance monitoring tools, reporting systems, and basic HR information systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken
