HR Business Partner, Amazon Inter Stores Shopping
At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us build the future of work, this is your chance to make history.
Amazon's People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to support our General & Administrative (G&A) organization in India on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role is critical in driving our people strategy, delivering operational HR excellence, and enabling business outcomes for a diverse set of corporate functions.
As a HRBP for G&A, you will partner with senior leaders across functions such as Legal, Communications, Public Policy, and other corporate teams to design and execute people strategies that accelerate business priorities. You will operate as a trusted advisor — balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution — in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly matrixed environment. Successful candidates will bring a strong consulting mindset, deep HR expertise, and the ability to influence without authority across organizational boundaries.
Key job responsibilities
Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness
Your day will be a blend of strategic counsel and operational execution. You might start the morning coaching a Director through a difficult team restructure, followed by reviewing attrition data to identify retention risks across G&A functions. Post-lunch, you could be facilitating a talent calibration session, then pivoting to advise on an employee relations case. You'll close the day connecting with your PXT peers to share best practices and align on cross-functional initiatives. No two days look the same — and that's what makes this role exciting.
Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong business acumen, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a relentless focus on delivering results through people.
