HR Applications Administrator

Join us in bringing joy to customer experience. Five9 brings the power of AI and cloud innovation to customer experience software worldwide.

Living our values drives our team-first culture, helping us innovate, grow, and thrive together.

We are seeking an HR Applications Administrator to join our Business Technology / Enterprise Applications team, responsible for administering, configuring, and supporting the applications behind Five9’s HR, Payroll, and Talent programs — primarily UKG (formerly UltiPro), with additional support for Deel, Greenhouse, and various other HR applications. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Business Technology, InfoSec, and external vendors to keep our HR systems secure, reliable, and effective.

The ideal candidate has hands-on UKG administration experience, along with a UKG Pro certification, strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial Workday administration experience and a Workday certification may also be a strong fit. This person communicates clearly, partners well across HR, Payroll, Finance, Business Technology, InfoSec, and vendor teams, and manages day-to-day administration independently.

The position is a hybrid role combining in-office and work-from-home days, based in Manila, Philippines, and requires the employee to work United States Pacific Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure Five9’s HR applications on a day-to-day basis, with primary focus on UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro), including system settings, business rules, and module configuration.
  • Maintain system security roles, permissions, and access controls across HR applications to ensure appropriate data protection and compliance with company policy.
  • Build, test, and maintain business process workflows, approval chains, and notifications within UKG Pro and related HR systems.
  • Support and maintain integrations between UKG Pro, Deel, Greenhouse, Degreed Learning Experience Platform, Replicon, and other business applications, partnering with Business Technology teams as needed.
  • Perform system testing, including validation of configuration changes, patches, and vendor releases prior to production deployment.
  • Coordinate periodic vendor releases and platform updates, assessing impact to existing configuration and coordinating regression testing with stakeholders.
  • Monitor data quality across HR systems, and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data integrity issues.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support HR, Payroll, and business stakeholder reporting needs.
  • Maintain clear, current documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day user support and troubleshooting for HR application end users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage vendor relationships for supported HR applications, including support tickets, escalations, and roadmap discussions.
  • Support the AI Center of Excellence by identifying and helping implement opportunities to leverage AI to automate hire-to-retire and payroll-related processes.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Business Technology, and InfoSec teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.

Key Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering enterprise Human Resources applications, with hands-on UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) experience as the primary qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience managing security roles, permissions, and access controls within an HRIS platform.
  • Experience building and maintaining business process workflows, approval chains, and notifications.
  • Experience supporting integrations between HR systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Experience with system testing, including validating configuration changes and vendor releases prior to production deployment.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining data quality and data integrity across HR systems.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards to support HR and business reporting needs.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to maintain clear and current process and configuration documentation.
  • Experience providing end-user support and troubleshooting for HR applications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Business Technology, InfoSec, and external vendors.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including support escalations and coordination on releases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UKG Pro certification (strongly preferred).
  • Workday certification, for candidates whose primary HRIS administration experience is with Workday.
  • Deel certification preferred.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, Degreed Learning Experience Platform, or Replicon desired.
  • Experience administering another major Human Resources Information System, supported by relevant qualifications or certifications.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • You will play a key role in supporting and evolving the technology that powers Five9’s HR, Payroll, and Talent programs.
  • You will work hands-on with UKG Pro and gain exposure to a broader ecosystem of leading HR platforms.
  • You will use cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to help create great employee experiences.
  • You will build strong partnerships across Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Business Technology, InfoSec, and vendor teams.
  • If you enjoy solving practical problems, safeguarding data quality, and delivering excellent support to HR technology users, this role offers strong opportunities to grow your HRIS expertise.
