Keysight Technologies is seeking a highly experienced High-Speed Digital & Optical Solutions Engineer to drive customer success and business growth across the rapidly expanding AI Datacenter, High-Speed Interconnect, Optical Networking, and Advanced Memory ecosystems.
This strategic customer-facing role combines deep technical expertise, industry leadership, and consultative engagement to help customers accelerate innovation in AI infrastructure, next-generation optical transceivers, high-performance computing (HPC), memory systems, and silicon photonics technologies.
You will partner with leading semiconductor companies, optical component manufacturers, network equipment providers, hyperscale cloud operators, and research institutions to deploy state-of-the-art test and measurement solutions spanning design characterization, compliance validation, manufacturing test, and volume production.
As a trusted technical advisor, you will influence technology adoption, support design wins, drive customer success, and help shape future Keysight solutions for emerging AI Datacenter architectures.
Responsibilities1. Customer & Technical Leadership
Serve as the regional technical expert for High-Speed Digital, Optical Communications, Silicon Photonics, Advanced Memory, and AI Datacenter physical-layer technologies. Act as the primary technical interface for strategic customers throughout the solution lifecycle, from technology evaluation and architectural planning through deployment and production ramp. Engage with customer executives, architects, R&D leaders, validation engineers, and manufacturing teams to understand challenges and define innovative measurement strategies. Deliver technical consulting and solution recommendations that improve customer productivity, reduce development risk, and accelerate time-to-market.
2. Application & Solution Development
Architect and deploy advanced validation and characterization solutions for:
- Optical transceivers (400G, 800G, 1.6T and beyond)
- Silicon Photonics devices and subsystems
- Co-Packaged Optics (CPO)
- High-speed SerDes designs
- AI accelerator interconnects
- PCIe Gen5/Gen6/Gen7
- Ethernet and InfiniBand technologies
- DDR5, DDR6, HBM and CXL memory interfaces
- Design and optimize measurement methodologies for signal integrity, power integrity, jitter analysis, eye-diagram analysis, BER validation, and compliance testing. Develop solution workflows that integrate instrumentation, automation software, and data analytics capabilities. Create reusable application methodologies, technical demonstrations, solution guides, and customer enablement material.
3. Business Development & Design Wins
Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify, qualify, and secure strategic design opportunities. Support technical sales engagements, proof-of-concept evaluations, competitive benchmarking, and solution demonstrations. Contribute to revenue growth by expanding Keysight's footprint within strategic accounts. Provide technical insight into market opportunities, competitive activities, and emerging customer requirements.
4. Product & Market Influence
Capture customer requirements and communicate market trends to product management and R&D organizations. Influence future product roadmaps through direct customer engagement and field insight. Participate in beta programs and validation of next-generation Keysight solutions. Provide feedback on product usability, performance, and feature prioritization.
5. Industry Leadership
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and standards across AI infrastructure and data communications. Represent Keysight at industry conferences, technical forums, consortium meetings, and customer events. Develop application notes, technical articles, webinars, and conference presentations. Build strong relationships within the optical communications and high-speed digital ecosystem.
Qualifications- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in applications engineering, design validation, product engineering, manufacturing test, or solution development involving high-speed digital and/or optical technologies.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, channel characterization, and compliance methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of high-speed communication technologies including PAM4, NRZ, equalization techniques, jitter analysis, BER measurements, and channel modeling.
- Hands-on experience with optical communication systems and transceiver technologies including QSFP-DD, OSFP, OSFP-XD, and future pluggable architectures.
- Direct experience using high-performance test instrumentation, including:
- Real-Time Oscilloscopes
- Sampling Oscilloscopes
- Digital Communication Analyzers (DCA)
- Bit Error Ratio Testers (BERT)
- Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)
- Optical Spectrum Analyzers
- Lightwave Component Analyzers
- Protocol Analyzers
- Logic Analyzers
- Optical Sources and Power Meters
- Strong understanding of IEEE, OIF, PCI-SIG, JEDEC, Ethernet, CXL and related industry standards.
- Willingness to travel regionally within South Asia Pacific is required.
