About the role

TI is seeking a visionary, high-impact Head of Worldwide Media Relations and Storytelling.

As the primary architect of TI's global media strategy and narrative, you will be responsible for building a storytelling engine that translates TI’s technology leadership – from analog and embedded products to our manufacturing capabilities – into compelling stories that resonate with customers, employees, community partners, policymakers and more. This role sits at the intersection of corporate and technology communications and marketing, requiring someone who can connect brand reputation to technology and innovation.

We are looking for a sharp, intellectually curious and experienced communications leader with strong journalistic instincts, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and a passion for technology. You will have the unique opportunity to cultivate stories about the company whose innovations power many of the world's most essential technologies – from phones and data centers to medical equipment and cars.

What you will gain from this role

  • Ownership of TI's global media strategy and execution — both proactive and reactive — with enterprise-wide visibility
  • Opportunity to shape TI's internal storytelling approach, advancing our brand narrative with employees and reinforcing a culture of innovation
  • Experience advising senior executives regarding media and serving as the company spokesperson
  • Opportunity to architect TI's media strategy and narrative, reaching key audiences through AI-influenced discovery channels
  • Deep and differentiated knowledge of TI's products, technology, and business
  • The opportunity to lead and grow a team of dedicated media relations and communications professionals

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and lead TI's worldwide media relations strategy in alignment with communications and marketing objectives
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with reporters, analysts and journalists
  • Lead TI's enterprise storytelling efforts and corporate social responsibility communications, effectively connecting our audiences with the meaningful work we do

  • Lead TI's global media relations agency approach, including agency selection, management, performance evaluation, and ensuring consistent and effective execution across all regions
  • Oversee a comprehensive media monitoring program, leveraging tools and analytics to track coverage, analyze sentiment, identify trends, surface issues, and deliver actionable insights
  • Manage media relations activities during issues or crisis incidents, protecting TI's reputation in sensitive or fast-moving situations
  • Pioneer how media relations adapt to an AI-influenced information ecosystem, monitor how LLMs, AI-powered search, generative AI tools and emerging information platforms are changing how content is discovered, consumed and amplified (e.g., AI-powered search, AI news aggregators, and synthetic content platforms) are changing the way media is discovered, consumed, and amplified, and proactively evolve TI's media strategy, measurement approaches and communications technology to ensure continued effectiveness in this rapidly changing environment
  • Continually assess the broad and vertical media landscape, analyze news for trends that would influence TI, and proactively provide strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Partner with teams in communications, marketing, legal, government relations and investor relations to align the messaging, response strategies, and communications plans
