Head of Payment Relations at Whop

Palo Alto, CA · Full-time, in office

About Whop

Our mission is to deliver everyone a sustainable income.

Today, 50,000+ people make money on Whop every month, and this year our users will earn more than $7B.

We’re building for a world where 1 billion people earn money on Whop every month.

The role

Every dollar our users earn moves through Whop’s payment partners. As Head of Payment Relations, you’ll own those relationships end to end and turn them into a strategic advantage.

What you’ll do

  • Own relationships with our payment partners and run weekly check-ins with each of them
  • Monitor dispute and chargeback rates, card network program exposure, reserves and fines across partners, and spot problems before they escalate
  • Work closely with our Head of Compliance to flag and resolve compliance issues quickly

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in account management, partner management or payments risk at a PSP, acquirer or high-volume merchant or platform
  • Fluency in disputes and chargebacks, card network monitoring programs, and how processors make risk decisions
  • A track record of building trusted relationships with senior partner contacts, and of pushing back when needed
  • Ownership mindset: you see what needs doing and do it without being asked

The bar

We want someone who can run payment partner relationships with the speed, rigor and judgment of Whop itself. We care less about the exact titles you’ve held and more about the relationships you’ve built, how they held up under pressure, and whether you made the business meaningfully better.

What Whop offers

  • Top compensation & equity
  • Equinox membership
  • Lunch & dinner M–F
  • Unlimited PTO + health / vision / dental
  • Latest MacBook Pro
