Ring & Blink Products & Delivery Org is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to own end-to-end hardware product development for our accessory portfolio — gateways, battery packs, solar chargers, power supplies, mounting kits, installation hardware, and other peripherals that enable millions of Ring and Blink devices to deliver on their most popular customer use cases.

You will drive programs from concept through mass production, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams, contract manufacturers (CMs) and ODMs in Asia, and US-based product and engineering stakeholders. As the single-threaded owner for accessory program execution, you are accountable for on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets.

At Ring/Blink, TPMs operate with AI-native fluency — leveraging AI tools as a core part of how you plan, execute, communicate, and deliver. AI fluency that doesn't improve customer outcomes is not sufficient; you own every output you ship, AI-assisted or not.

Key job responsibilities
  • Program Ownership: Own end-to-end accessory development from concept all the way to launch through sustaining/EOL.
  • Schedule & Risk Management: Build and maintain workback schedules; identify critical-path risks and drive mitigations with data-backed recommendations — escalate with options, not just problems.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive aligned execution across PM, ID, ME, EE, FW, Quality, Compliance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • CM/ODM Management: Serve as primary TPM interface with Asia-based manufacturing partners. Lead build readiness reviews, tooling schedules, and production issue resolution. Travel to sites (China/Vietnam) for key builds as needed.
  • Technical Depth: Maintain sufficient hardware design fluency (ME, EE, materials) to identify risks early and facilitate engineering trade-offs within program constraints.
  • BOM & Cost: Track BOM convergence and drive cost-down through component selection, 2nd-source qualification, and process optimization to meet guardrail targets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver regular program health updates to leadership covering status, decisions, and change-control items.
  • AI-Native Practice: Design workflows with AI embedded from the start — automated status generation, risk detection, data synthesis, and reusable tooling (reports, scorecards, dependency tracking) that the team adopts. Actively develop expertise in at least one AI domain relevant to TPM work.
A day in the life
You own 2–4 accessory programs at various development stages. In a typical week you're reviewing tooling status with the CM, running a cross-functional build-readiness review for an upcoming DVT build, using AI-generated portfolio dashboards to identify at-risk milestones, driving an open-issue list with EE/ME engineers to closure, and preparing a milestone-gate read-out for leadership. You balance hands-on execution with forward-looking planning — and you're continuously looking for ways to automate the routine so you can focus on decisions and strategy.
