Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Designing, prototyping, building, and validating electrical designs throughout our product development cycle, and working with teams across Apple to integrate those designs into Apple WATCH. Working on System electrical design, schematic capture and PCB layout design, as well as Prototype bring up and debugging. Functional and performance verification of hardware designs using common EE test equipment (including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers). Hands-on debugging and failure analysis of manufacturing, design, and reliability issues. Providing Factory build support from early NPI through product ramp. Reporting on and presenting status of hardware issues to management and cross-functional forums. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 - $225,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Utilizing Cadence tools (or industry equivalent) for schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB layout design.
  • Utilizing common EE test equipment (including but not limited to) oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, DMM, and power analyzers).
  • Bringing up and debugging new hardware designs.
  • Integrating electrical designs or subsystems (such as audio, sensors, radio, or power electronics) into hardware systems.
  • Designing, performing schematic capture, and guiding PCB layout of hardware systems.
  • Performing hardware failure analysis and implementing corrective actions, including working with component suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional or interdisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical engineers, software/firmware engineering), to design and validate product or system performance.
  • Utilizing common communication protocols, including standard GPIO signaling, I2C, and SPI.
