This includes around 20,000 employees and four business segments. With its global production sites, R&D, and service locations, AUT is close to its customers and at home in a wide range of industries. At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry, and in the field of intra-logistics.

Based in Oradea, we are looking for a Growth Specialist. The Growth Specialist is a dynamic, hybrid role focused on accelerating organizational performance, optimizing team capabilities, enhancing employee retention, and expanding the plant’s visibility through external strategic partnerships (academia and sister locations). This role bridges talent development, operational agility, and people engagement.

This will be your impact:

A. Strategic Partnerships (Academia & Network Locations)

  • Academic Collaboration: Build and manage relationships with universities, technical high schools, and training centers in Oradea and the surrounding region.
  • Implement dual education programs, internships, and graduate programs to attract young talent to the plant.
  • Initiate collaborative projects focusing on applied research, innovation, or technological know-how transfer.
  • Intra-Company Synergies: Facilitate the sharing of best practices, manufacturing tools, and continuous improvement projects with other plants within the global network.
  • Coordinate cross-site teams or projects to standardize growth and efficiency processes.

B. Skills Matrix Management

  • Maintenance & Tracking: Design, implement, and maintain up-to-date skills and multi-skilling matrices across all departments and production lines.
  • Dynamically identify skill gaps at the individual, team, and organizational levels.
  • Operational Flexibility: Partner with production supervisors to ensure critical skills coverage and job rotation, thereby supporting plant operational agility and resilience.

C. Employee Retention & Engagement

  • Retention Strategies: Design and implement retention initiatives aimed at reducing turnover and increasing engagement, particularly for critical roles and young talents.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions, pulse checks, and 'exit/stay interviews' to identify drivers of satisfaction and areas for improvement.
  • Engagement Actions: Collaborate with management to foster an inclusive, motivating work environment and drive recognition programs within the plant.

D. Development Goals & Growth Planning

  • Performance & Career Development: Facilitate the setting of individual development goals (growth KPIs, career paths) aligned with the plant's strategic objectives.
  • Design and facilitate internal training sessions, workshops on leadership, efficiency, and personal growth.
  • Impact Measurement: Track progress against set development goals, measure the effectiveness of training and retention programs, and continuously optimize them based on data and feedback.

This is how you'll win us over:

  • Education: University degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., HR Generalist, L&D Specialist, Talent Acquisition, or Project Management within an industrial/manufacturing environment).
  • Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with academic and external institutional environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset (for managing skill matrices, retention metrics, and KPIs).
  • A true growth mindset: proactive, resilient, and results oriented.
  • Languages: Romanian (advanced/native).
  • English (advanced, written and spoken). German is considered a strong plus.

What do we offer:

In addition to exciting work opportunities in a brand-new, state-of-the-art engineering environment, we place special emphasis on a healthy work-life balance; continuous learning and development of our employees is important to us - we believe this is key to our success.
