Global Videographer, Residential Energy
Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Global Videographer – Residential Energy where you will be responsible for filming video projects for Residential Energy solutions including Powerwall, Solar Panels, Virtual Power Plant, Tesla Electric, Home Charging and Tesla App. From customer case studies and product launch videos to technical educational content, you'll collaborate with both creative and technical teams, aligning with stakeholders across NA, APAC, EMEA, while working with production agencies to ensure every project is delivered on time and aligns with the Tesla brand and mission.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute on-location shoots globally for products, customer stories, and site features
- Capture high quality footage, audio, and still photography that showcases Residential Energy products and aligns with the Tesla brand
- Operate and maintain professional-grade cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
- Work with the Video Producer to prepare crew, talent, gear, and location logistics in advance of shoot days
- Collaborate with the Video Producer to ensure external video production vendors meet Tesla’s creative and technical standards
- Support DIT, media management, and initial footage preparation and selection to accelerate the post-production handoff. Work closely with Post-Production and Video Producer to ensure footage meets editorial and technical requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Production, or 7+ years equivalent experience in cinematography/videography with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical excellence and creative vision
- Proficiency with professional cinema cameras (RED, ARRI, Sony, Canon, etc.) and audio recording systems. Drone operation skills with relevant and up-to-date certifications (Part 107 or international equivalents)
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling
- Experience with interviewing and directing on-camera talent
- Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Ability to work independently and make creative decisions in the field
- Capability to travel domestically and internationally

Expected Compensation
$64,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
