Global Logistics Superintendent, Solar Manufacturing Tool Install
Description
As a Global Logistics Superintendent on Tesla’s Tool Install team, you own material flow for the buildout and expansion of Tesla’s Solar Manufacturing facilities in Houston. The program spans multiple active construction sites and depends on precision installation and aggressive timelines
This is a logistics position that must think like a construction superintendent. You will manage the influx of thousands of parts, materials, tools, and construction equipment across sites, storage, inventory, and delivery to install teams, while reading the same plans, sequences, and constraints the field uses to install manufacturing lines. This role will require 50% of travel.
You will also support pre-construction planning and benchmark execution for future factories.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming materials manufacturing tools and construction equipment manage rental pickups and returns mobilize tools equipment and materials fuel equipment preserve department asset integrity and track laydown requirements
- Keep laydown yards and storage containers clean and organized as install sequences change
- Prepare loads set and dismantle rigging operate heavy equipment to offload operate forklifts and related mobile equipment and coordinate vendor deliveries
- Verify that material issued to the field matches the design documents approved submittals and Tesla specifications before it leaves the yard
- Read project drawings and specifications to determine on-site planning and staging
- Build and maintain logistics schedules tied to project activity sequencing
- Identify and correct safety hazards in yards aisles and delivery routes keep logistics work areas safe and clean resolve field clashes that block material flow and support pre-construction planning and logistics
