What will you do?

As a Global Account Manager (GAM) based in Ontario, Canada, you will own the end-to-end global relationship, strategy, and commercial success for two of Siemens’ most critical and complex global accounts (ATS & Husky). You will act as the single point of accountability, orchestrating global cross-functional teams, driving multi-million-dollar strategic growth, and aligning Siemens’ executive leadership with your customers' highest-level business objectives.

This is not a transactional sales role. It is a high-visibility, executive-level leadership position requiring deep business acumen, global vision, and the ability to navigate complex matrix organizations across North America and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Strategy & Account Leadership: Formulate, maintain, and execute comprehensive Global Account Plans for your two assigned key customers, identifying long-term growth opportunities, whitespace, and risks.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers globally, positioning Siemens as an indispensable strategic partner in their digital and industrial transformation.
  • Global Orchestration & Matrix Leadership: Lead virtual, cross-functional global account teams (spanning regional sales, technical pre-sales, product management, commercial operations, and service delivery) spread across multiple time zones and geographies.
  • Commercial & Financial Performance: Drive profitable revenue growth, achieve annual order intake, revenue, and margin targets, and maintain accurate global forecasting. Own the contract negotiations, global framework agreements, and pricing strategies.
  • Customer Advocacy & Value Realization: Ensure seamless execution of global projects, coordinate technical and operational support across regions, and proactively resolve complex escalations to maximize customer satisfaction and lifetime value.
  • Innovation & Co-Creation: Partner closely with customers on forward-looking initiatives, driving adoption of Siemens' cutting-edge software, automation, electrification, and digital enterprise portfolios.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Experience: 10+ years of strategic account management, global sales leadership, or business development, ideally within industrial automation, software, energy, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Global Acumen: Proven track record of managing multinational, tier-1 enterprise accounts with a global footprint; comfort navigating diverse international business cultures, geopolitical considerations, and multi-region governance structures.
  • Leadership & Influence: Exceptional ability to lead without authority, inspiring and aligning cross-functional, multicultural global teams toward common account goals.
  • Commercial Excellence: Strong negotiation skills with experience structuring complex, multi-year global master service agreements and driving enterprise software/hardware sales cycles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • Location & Mobility: Based in Ontario, Canada. Ability to travel internationally and domestically to visit customer headquarters, key manufacturing sites, and Siemens global hubs (estimated travel: 35%–50%).
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages relevant to your global customer footprint is highly desirable.

[Salary is commensurate with experience, and total compensation ranges between $ 180,000.00 CAD - $ 200,000.00 CAD including participation in our Sales Incentive Plan, contingent on achievement of sales targets as defined and updated from time to time by the Company.]
