Description and Requirements

This role is a full‑time position focused on designing and delivering intelligent capabilities for Lenovo’s hybrid cloud platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced AI/ML engineer who enjoys solving complex problems at scale and collaborating closely with product and engineering partners. The role has an international scope and works in close collaboration with global teams in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and development of intelligent features for Lenovo’s hybrid cloud platform leveraging generative AI and best practices from data-science, software engineering and security.
Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to clarify requirements and implement scalable solutions, keeping in mind user perspective.
Iteration, evaluation and testing of developed solutions to improve them iteratively.
 Leverage the company’s infrastructure to provide foundational datasets, labelled data, data cleaning processes, model training, and runtime frameworks for the above use cases.
Mentor junior team-members to guide them in the implementation of the above use-cases.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or applied machine learning roles.
Proficient in Python.
Experienced with building Agentic AI applications, with hands on experience on common technologies for Gen AI such as multi-agent systems, agent evals, prompt engineering, context-management, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), MCP.
Experience with one or more of the following would be highly preferred: LLM-hosting, LLM fine-tuning, knowledge of GPUs, AI security.
Experienced with data-wrangling tools such as SQL and Python.
Experienced with end-to-end Gen AI system development with knowledge of good software engineering practices.
Excellent communicator, able to clarify requirements, flag dependencies early and collaborate across teams to push solutions forward.
Experience deploying, monitoring and troubleshooting AI-systems on public or private cloud infrastructure is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills, good English reading ability, and a strong spirit of exploration; able to identify cutting-edge technologies in industry and academia and effectively adapt and apply them in real-world scenarios.
