YOUR ROLE 

Attached to the Imaging Validation department, you will join a dynamic and innovative team that is an integral part of R&D, working on cutting-edge Camera Image Sensor SoC products targeting Automotive, Industrial, Mobile, Security, and Machine Vision applications.

As a Functional Validation Engineer, you will be involved in validating high-speed interfaces used in Camera Image Sensor SoCs from FPGA prototyping through silicon bring-up and production qualification. Your mission will be to ensure that interface functionality, performance, compliance, interoperability, and robustness meet product specifications under various operating conditions.

In this role, you will be responsible for validating high-speed interfaces across Camera Image Sensor SoCs, focusing on MIPI protocols, DisplayPort, SerDes-based connectivity, protocol compliance, and system-level validation. The role requires a strong understanding of protocol architecture, embedded systems, hardware validation, and automation using Python.

Throughout the validation, you will also oversee the analysis and resolution of technical challenges. Your product expertise may also be called upon to participate in customer support and integration. 

To succeed in these missions, you will work in close collaboration with all the different product development teams (Design, Architecture, Firmware and embedded software development), with our application teams in order to provide the best validation solution that will meet our customer's needs. 

You will also participate in project meetings, sharing information, actions, and priorities within the team. 

Finally, as a member of a validation team, you will reuse existing tools. You will also propose and participate in methods and tools for improvements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Experience: 5 - 10yrs
• Validate end-to-end functionality of high-speed interfaces implemented in Camera Image Sensor SoCs.
• Develop comprehensive validation plans and test strategies for: 
  • MIPI CSI-2 / D-PHY / C-PHY
  • DisplayPort (DP/eDP)
  • Proprietary SerDes interfaces
• Verify protocol compliance (CTS) against applicable industry specifications.
• Validate interface operation across multiple speeds, lane configurations, and low power profiles.
• Execute interoperability testing with host processors, ISP platforms, FPGA platforms, and validation boards.
• Perform stress, corner-case, and robustness testing.
• Validate error handling and recovery mechanisms.
• Execute compliance and certification activities.
• Automate test execution, log collection, analysis, and reporting.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

o Object-oriented programming languages (preferably Python, C)
o Version management tools (git, svn)
o Software, Hardware knowledge and debug capabilities.
• Knowledge:
o Embedded electronics / computing (real time)
o Laboratory tools (oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, etc.) 
o Transmission protocols (high and low speed): I2C, I3C, SPI, MIPI, DP, eDP
o Automation and/or continuous integration tools (ex: Jenkins, Gerrit, AI tools)
o Notions in image processing would be an adding competency.
