The FEP Manager is responsible for developing robust project plans from early concept through construction readiness. The role partners with design, engineering, procurement, commercial, operations, and construction teams to establish project scope, budget, schedule, delivery strategy, risk profile, and governance requirements.

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years’ construction experience, including at least 5 years in pre-construction or front-end planning. They will have strong knowledge of construction delivery, estimating, scheduling, design coordination, procurement, and risk management. Travel within Australia and the APAC region is required up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead front-end planning and pre-construction activities for projects across APAC.
  • Define and validate project scope, delivery strategy, budget, schedule, milestones, and resourcing requirements.
  • Lead feasibility studies, site due diligence, constructability reviews, and project-readiness assessments.
  • Identify risks, constraints, dependencies, and opportunities early, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Partner with design, engineering, procurement, commercial, operations, and construction stakeholders to align project plans and requirements.
  • Coordinate contractor and consultant engagement, including tender strategy, bid evaluation, scope clarification, and pre-construction activities.
  • Establish and maintain project governance, stage-gate deliverables, risk registers, decision logs, and executive reporting.
  • Review design and construction documentation to confirm alignment with safety, quality, cost, schedule, and constructability objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of Australian and APAC construction markets, local regulatory requirements, permitting processes, and supply-chain conditions.
  • Present project recommendations, status updates, risks, and key decisions to senior stakeholders.
  • Promote consistent planning standards, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the regional portfolio.
