Financial Specialist, Foreign Exchange Management Department

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Overview:

The Foreign Exchange Management Department at TSMC is responsible for overseeing foreign currency risks across our global operations. This role entails regular market analysis and trade execution to ensure effective risk management. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled candidate to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage TSMC's foreign exchange exposure and develop effective hedging strategies for headquarters and overseas fabs in the United States, Japan, China, and Germany

2. Perform trades effectively to optimize P&L and adherence to strategic objectives

3. Conduct macroeconomic research and provide market updates to the management team

4. Oversee foreign currency loans to support the company’s operations

5. Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing ideas and solutions to drive organizational initiatives

Job Qualifications

1. 1-5 years of experience in a financial market-related role within banking or corporate finance

2. A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin

4. Familiarity with basic coding concepts and tools (e.g., VBA, SQL) is a plus

5. Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth analysis with strong presentation skills to convey insights
