The impact you’ll make

You will enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency across Lam's global transportation network by improving forecasting accuracy, strengthening billing governance, optimizing vendor performance, and delivering data-driven insights that support cost management, process automation, and strategic logistics decisions.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain global logistics dashboards, KPIs, executive reporting, and quarterly accrual reporting to provide visibility into transportation spend and operational performance.
  • Manage freight spend analytics, billing, and forecasting activities, including variance analysis, trend monitoring, and financial reporting in collaboration with third-party freight audit and payment providers.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve freight billing exceptions, invoice discrepancies, and process gaps to improve billing accuracy and financial controls.
  • Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives that reduce manual processes, streamline exception management, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Oversee third-party freight audit, billing, and payment vendors, including SLA management, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Partner with Finance, Transportation, Spares Operations, Warehouse Management, Trade Operations, and IT teams to implement system enhancements, reporting capabilities, and process improvements.
  • Analyze transportation spend, carrier performance, and operational data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that support cost optimization and strategic decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes that improve invoice accuracy, audit compliance, forecasting reliability, and overall financial stewardship of logistics expenditures.
  • Support transportation cost-saving initiatives by leveraging analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the global logistics network.

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of freight billing, financial reporting, forecasting, and exception management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in global transportation, logistics, supply chain finance, freight audit, or transportation operations.
  • Knowledge of freight billing, carrier invoicing, transportation cost management, and financial forecasting processes.
  • Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms, freight audit and payment solutions, or logistics analytics tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Excel, or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and financial reporting for operational and leadership audiences.
  • Familiarity with process automation, data integration, and reporting solutions that improve operational efficiency and data quality.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics providers, freight audit vendors, or outsourced service partners, including performance monitoring and SLA management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across Finance, Operations, IT, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization projects, or digital transformation programs within a logistics or supply chain environment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $72,000.00 -  $170,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
