Field Service Technician (After-Sales)
Siemens Gebze factory is the lead factory for Air Insulated Switchgear production in Siemens World and exporting to more than 80 countries worldwide!
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Global Customer Care Department within Siemens Smart Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical panels and equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety compliance, quality standards, and customer satisfaction. The position requires technical expertise in electrical systems, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel for international service assignments.
What are my responsibilities?
- Perform service, maintenance, and repair activities at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in electrical installations and equipment, perform necessary adjustments.
- Work independently or as part of a team within installation and maintenance tasks, following given instructions.
- Carry out assembly and pre-assembly tasks in line with technical drawings, part lists, and work instructions.
- Check correctness of incoming materials and pre-manufactured parts; ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and complete service reports (NCR, Service Report, etc.), ensuring timely communication with related stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including electrical “5 Safety Rules”, environmental, fire, and emergency standards.
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment properly.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area, ensuring proper handover at shift changes.
- Take ownership of work quality and adhere to quality management system requirements.
- Support the shipment process of repaired or replaced equipment (e.g., breakers, panels, switchgear).
- Share accurate updates with supervisors and colleagues regarding field activities.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s, Associate, or Technical High School degree in relevant fields such as Mechanics, Electrical Technologies or Mechatronics
- Solid technical knowledge of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Systems Technologies and equipment.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings,
- Good command of English.
- Site installation and commissioning experience will be preferred,
- Basic knowledge in SAP is a plus.
- Proficiency in utilisation of MS Office 365 programs,
- Always acts as a role model, ensuring the integrity and delivering on commitments,
- Ability to handle on priorities in a demanding environment,
- Adapt focused decision making,
- No restriction for travelling and active driving licence is required.
