Position Overview
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Athens, Greece, to join the Customer Service organization of the Siemens Digital Industries Service Execution (DI SE) business unit. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support and engineering services to our industrial customers. You will be responsible for the development, programming, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of automation and drive systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of customer operations.
Working closely with customers on-site, you will provide technical expertise in PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and industrial automation applications, while identifying service opportunities, promoting our service portfolio and contributing to long-term customer satisfaction. This role offers a dynamic environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies, hands-on problem solving and continuous professional development.
What are my responsibilities?
- Position will be located in Athens, with occasional travel.
- Development, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, commissioning and start-up of automation systems (PLC,HMI, Drives)
- Development, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, commissioning and start-up of drive applications (AC and DC)
- Customized trainings on site in automation and drive applications
- Increase i-base transparency and find opportunities for services
- Promote service portfolio during site visits
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Eagerness for personal development. Ambition. Continuous improvement mentality.
- Self-driven, team worker
- Hands on mentality.
- About 5 years of experience in automation applications at industrial environment
- PLC programming in any development environment.
- HMI programming in any development environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and provide solutions on time
- Fluent in both English and Greek
- Dynamic and resilient with Strong work ethic, organizational skills and customer orientation
- Valid driving license and ability to travel

The pay range for this position is €24.000–€32.000 annually. The actual offer will be determined within this range, based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
