Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineering Consultant to work as an IMEC on-site resident engineer within our Calibre Foundry/SEMI Manufacturing Solution team. You will be part of a high-performing Application Engineering Team responsible for designing, developing, and debugging Calibre-based RET/OPC solutions for leading-edge nodes. Our global application engineering team is creative, dynamic, and operates in a highly productive, small team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert in computational lithography and build trusted advisor relationships with industry-leading customers and partners

• Develop software prototypes to solve computational lithography and advanced mask challenges using Python, Tcl, Calibre API, and the Calibre DRC/OPC Platform

• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training on Calibre OPC/MPC platforms

• Drive adoption, proliferation, and successful production deployment of Calibre products across the design-to-mask production workflow

Qualifications

• Industry experience in OPC/Computational Lithography or Advanced Mask solutions

• Direct experience in full-chip OPC tech-file or modeling development

• Intermediate or advanced programming skills in Python, Tcl, or C/C++

• Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments

• Strong knowledge of photolithography, including optics, resist modeling, and mask synthesis

• Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Eng) or Ph.D., or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with the Siemens Calibre Platform

• Self-motivated and focused on problem solving

• Strong technical and written communication skills

• Imaging processing or algorithm development experience

• Direct experience in Inverse Lithography Technology (ILT)

• Direct experience in MPC or MDP fracturing

• Direct experience in Memory OPC/RET

• Direct experience in DRC/Physical Verification

• In-depth understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes

• Customer-facing experience

Compensation

The total cash compensation range for this position is 108,900 to 207,000 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target (100% achievement). The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
