Description and Requirements
The Infrastructure Solution Consultant plays a critical role in driving field sales for Lenovo’s Data Center portfolio in the Education market. As a member of the field sales team, you will partner closely with customers, sales teams, and ecosystem partners to design, position, and deliver tailored Data Center solutions that solve complex business challenges for Higher Education and K-12 Schools.
This role is highly customer‑facing and consultative, requiring a blend of technical knowledge, solution‑selling skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships at every level - from technical practitioners to executive leadership.
Candidate must reside within New England to effectively support the assigned territory.Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, from technical teams to C‑suite executives
- Independently identify, develop, and close new opportunities for Education customers within the territory.
- Achieve revenue and profitability objectives for Lenovo while driving growth across multiple product sets
- Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and solution content to a broad customer audience
- Design and position Data Center solutions that align Lenovo mainstream products, services, and partner technologies to customer business and technical requirements
- Coordinate the completion of technical aspects of RFPs, RFIs and proposal responses
- Lead configurations, demonstrations, and interoperability discussions to meet customer requirements
- Understand and adapt to Lenovo’s ongoing product and services developments
- Represent Lenovo at industry trade shows, events, seminars, and customer briefings
- Effectively and consistently use MSFT Dynamics and other reporting tools to track key sales metrics and consistently meet those metrics while delivering operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven success leading and winning complex server, storage, and/or networking solutions in Data Center environments
- 8+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer‑facing technical role
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven experience dealing with C-level executives
- Strong ability to engage customers, understand business needs, and align technical solutions accordingly
- Strong consultative selling skills with excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation abilities
- Ability to travel regionally or nationally for up to 40% (averaging 2 days per week or one week per each 3 weeks).

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is 123,060–188,646 USD. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
