In a context of strong global growth, expanding capacities, and continuously evolving technologies, you will join a dynamic team within the worldwide Central Construction organization, comprising 120 people.

You will be part of the Catania Construction team at STMicroelectronics, based in Catania. Catania Local Construction is responsible for the construction and execution of all facilities for major projects on the SiC Campus, as well as engineering for smaller-scale projects.

Within the Catania Construction team, we deliver the technical installations for multi-hundred-million-euro plants, which represent the future of STMicroelectronics.

About Your Role

Within the Process & Chemical Construction team, you will oversee the construction of Process (Chemicals, gases, water) facilities and contribute to defining strategy across the Company's various projects. To do this, you will:

  • Support the engineering department in defining new requirements and gathering the information needed to draft technical specifications;
  • Independently manage construction follow-up for the project assigned to you, from the end of the engineering phase through handover to the Operations teams;
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to project coordination and schedule to meet timeline objectives;
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to the defined project budget to meet financial objectives.

For the engineering component, you will also be expected to:

  • Identify new facility requirements linked to process and manufacturing needs;
  • Size, define, and prepare technical specifications and tenders for installations;
  • Synthesize, present, and defend your technical choices;
  • Closely track, from a technical standpoint, consultations, validations, and alignment between the various companies involved;
  • Manage your engineering study files, then hand over and support the teams responsible for construction and execution.

About You

  • You hold an engineering degree (or equivalent) in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with a strong interest in the industrial sector and technical subjects;
  • You are drawn to managing multiple simultaneous projects with significant strategic and economic stakes;
  • You are pragmatic and autonomous, demonstrating rigor, responsiveness, adaptability, and leadership skills;
  • You enjoy teamwork within a dynamic organization, and have strong communication skills and interpersonal ease;
  • You appreciate fieldwork in an industrial environment, tracking project progress alongside construction teams;
  • Professional proficiency in English and prior industry experience are a plus.

The expected salary range for this position is € 38.000 – €45.000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role. 

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
