Texas Instruments is seeking an Export Controls and Sanctions Analyst to be in our Dallas, Texas offices. This position is responsible for analyzing and continuously strengthening TI’s global export control, sanctions, restricted-party screening, KYC and risked based review processes. The role combines export control and sanctions expertise with data-driven decision-making, leveraging existing tools and emerging AI capabilities to identify risk, investigate complex screening and diligence matters, monitor trends and develop scalable approaches for transactions across TI’s worldwide operations.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Analyze and resolve complex restricted party and denied party screening matters, including sanctions, end-user/end-use, military end user risks across applicable U.S. and international trade-control regimes and requirements, including OFAC sanctions, the Entity List and Unverified list, Section 1260H, UFLPA, and FEOC-related requirements.
  • Execute KYC due diligence, including risk-indicator assessment, and ownership assessments.
  • Support and continuously improve the policies, procedures, and governance frameworks that underpin TI’s customer screening due diligence and risk-based approval processes.
  • Perform and validate human-in-the-loop (HITL) screening to confirm the accuracy and disposition of automated screening hits and escalations, ensuring appropriate resolution of potential matches.
  • Analyze trade, customer transaction data to identify elevated risk patterns. Translate findings into targeted diligence, screening enhancements, escalation criteria and business controls.
  • Resolve complex escalations related to screening outcomes by providing structured analysis, documentation, decision rationale, and clear recommended options/next steps. Capture recurring escalation drivers (e.g., false positives, data-quality gaps) and feed insights into process and tool improvements.
  • Partner with TI’s Information Technology Solutions to define data requirements and optimize screening tools and workflows, including automated due diligence and reporting. Evaluate AI-enabled enhancements for alert triage and trend detection and help establish governance for AI use (data quality, controls, validation, and ongoing monitoring).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in export controls, sanctions, restricted-party screening or related trade regulatory role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with U.S. export control and sanctions regimes (EAR, OFAC, ITAR) and restricted party list screening tools
  • Experience with semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology industry supply chains
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to present complex regulatory matters to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines
  • Experience developing or maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI dashboards, reporting) to improve screening operations and decision quality
  • Experience evaluating or deploying AI-enabled compliance capabilities 
  • Experience with enhanced due diligence processes
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and risk-based decision making to complex screening scenarios
  • Ability to evaluate screening escalations and exceptions, synthesize relevant facts and regulatory requirements, and develop well-supported recommendations
  • Ability to identify and articulate trade compliance and sanctions-related risks, including clear documentation of decision rationale and recommended actions
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving regulatory requirements
