Executive Protection Lead, Operations

Meta is seeking an experienced leader to work full-time on an Executive Protection team. The role is broad and involves operational and strategic skills, along with experience in communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, collaborators and clients, at different levels. The Executive Protection Lead, Operations will support the safety, security, and mission continuity of our executive leadership. This role is designed for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a demonstrated understanding of dynamic risk environments, complex protocols, and global operations. You will lead protective efforts for executives, ensuring readiness, coordination, and discretion across varied operational contexts. You will work as part of the Global Security Executive Protection team and be supporting management on all aspects, from operations and planning, advance work, training and overall support of the security program. This is a cross-functional role that partners closely with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage executive protection operations for executives and leaders, with a focus on risk-based deployments Manage 24/7 residential security and transportation security operations Plan, coordinate, and execute complex domestic and international travel for high-profile executives, often in high-risk environments Respond to enterprise-wide global crises that impact executive leadership, including natural disasters, geopolitical disruptions, or threats to personal safety Collaborate cross-functionally with intelligence, physical security, corporate travel, legal, and communications teams to ensure executive protection strategies are aligned and informed Provide direct oversight and leadership to protection agents assigned to executive operations Manage high-level communications with executives and their staff, ensuring trust, discretion, and seamless coordination Utilize and evaluate protective technologies and tools to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and briefings related to residential security, executive movements, emergency protocols, and travel support Support executive protection training initiatives and contribute to the evolution of global protection standards

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive executive protection experience, including experience with international travel for Corporate Executives, High Ranking Government Officials, VIPs, and/or UHNW individuals 2+ years in a team leadership role within a protective services or security operations context Proven experience organizing and managing complex global trips and high-stakes events for executives Demonstrated experience solving complex logistical and operational problems under your own initiative, often in time-constrained or demanding environments Experience operating in protocol-driven environments, including corporate, government, or diplomatic contexts Evidenced success in communication and presentation skills, particularly in high-stakes or executive-facing settings Practical experience in project management, including organization, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration Proven experience working with minimal oversight, maintaining sound judgment and discretion at all times Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50%), sometimes on short notice and to high-risk areas Familiarity with risk intelligence platforms, GPS tracking, emergency communications systems, and other EP-related technologies Proven experience influencing and driving operational outcomes with vendor teams in global environments Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Multilingual capabilities preferred to support global executive protection operations across multiple regions and languages Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience supporting crisis management or incident response efforts at the enterprise level Formal training in executive protection, defensive driving, emergency medical response, or threat assessment Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Prior work in multinational organizations, high-growth companies, or complex matrixed environments Law Enforcement experience in a security or executive protection role, preferably in a leadership position

Compensation: $137,000/year to $190,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
