Test Automation Engineer Trainee for an industrial project

We are looking for a Test Automation Trainee to join our Unified Elements Test Automation Team.

Unified Elements is a modern web-based technology used in industrial applications. In our team, you will work on automated testing and quality assurance of web-based software in a modern development environment, using technologies such as Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, Azure cloud services, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

As a trainee, you will work together with experienced developers and test automation engineers, gradually taking responsibility for developing, maintaining, and improving our automated test infrastructure.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Develop new features C# .NET Core and TypeScript/JavaScript

• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript

• Extend and maintain the existing test automation framework

• Develop and maintain GitLab CI pipelines

• Work with test environments running in the Azure cloud

• Investigate failed tests and support root-cause analysis

• Improve test reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency

• Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum team

Your success is grounded in:

• Basic C# .NET Core development skills

• Basic JavaScript, Cucumber-JS and TypeScript programming knowledge

• Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, HTTP, and browser-based applications

• Interest in software testing and test automation

• Basic understanding of Git and version control

• Analytical and systematic thinking

• Willingness to investigate technical problems and learn new technologies

• At least professional working proficiency in English

You’ll stand out with:

• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or another web test automation framework

• Basic knowledge of GitLab CI/CD or other CI/CD systems

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms

• Basic knowledge of containers and Docker

• Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing

• Experience with Linux environments or scripting

• Previous experience with automated testing
