Position Overview
The Solution Architect is a key delivery role within Professional Services, responsible for leading the end-to-end solution definition and technical execution for Siemens DI Software implementations across multiple software packages and domains. You work day-to-day with Consultants, Project Managers, QA, and distributed delivery teams to translate business requirements into process-aligned solution designs and to ensure the approved design is implemented correctly.
In this role, you lead the technical direction of the project from Solution Definition through build, test, and deployment—driving architecture decisions, authoring and governing functional specifications and Solution Link work you're doing, and ensuring delivery aligns to Siemens standard methodologies and the Siemens Delivery framework. You work closely with the customer throughout delivery and are typically the customer-facing representative of Siemens. You proactively lead scope, risks, dependencies, and design changes, and you keep partners aligned through clear, timely communication, including where multiple applications and cross-domain capabilities must work together as an integrated solution.
You serve as the customer’s trusted advisor during delivery, balancing immediate project needs with long-term roadmap considerations to support adoption and sustainable outcomes. You operate with a high degree of autonomy on projects of basic to moderate complexity and supply reusable assets, lessons learned, and standards through the Zone Solution Architecture Community of Practice. This position collaborates with the Electronics, Semiconductor, Industrial Machinery, and Battery Business Unit’s Technical Delivery Office; experience in these industries is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Leadership of the project team and customer to deliver project goals.
- Ownership of the entire solution delivered to the customer including work done by other team members.
- Be responsible for all aspects of the technical project. Ensure that Siemens’ standard methodologies are followed and that the functional specification is implemented correctly.
- Advise the offshore team to optimally conduct documented functional specifications
- Assist the Project Managers with estimates, detailed work breakdown structure, and enforcement of scope for the project.
- Become a trusted advisor to the customer to steer customer towards Siemens Best Practices.
- Authoring of project materials to document all detailed implementation information for the project.
- Working with QA lead to implement our Quality Assurance process.
- Run workshops to implement the Solution Definition portion of Siemens Delivery methodology.
- Effectively communicate design direction to team members and partners in a timely and clear fashion.
- Support the Engagement Manager in preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications.
- Lead customer expectations across project cycle.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college, preferably in engineering, computer science or related field. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in any one of these industries Semiconductor, Electronics, Industrial Machinery, Battery, an advanced degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for tried experience.
- Multiple years of designing Teamcenter solutions is helpful. Experience with other similar products, such as Enovia, ePDM, Windchill, Aras Innovator or Agile PLM will be considered.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present sophisticated issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers.
- Ability to handle tough and ambiguous situations without conflict.
- A commitment to drive implementation success in a highly competitive market
- Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customer.
- Travel can be up to 50%+

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Sophisticated university or college degree.
- Experience in the technical leadership of large software implementation projects.
- Shown experience in leading a prescriptive solution deployment based on standard methodologies and OOTB capabilities as opposed to simply meeting customer requirements as stated.
- Experience leading offshore team on implementation projects.
Our Benefits & Rewards
The total cash compensation range for this position is $125,300 - $250,600 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
