ESH Specialist

ESH Specialist is responsible for supporting environmental, safety, and health programs to help ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and promote a safe and healthy workplace. This role partners with cross-functional teams to implement ESH programs, conduct assessments, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, safety, and health programs
- Help ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, standards, and company requirements
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
- Support incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up
- Partner with site leaders, employees, and cross-functional teams to address ESH risks and improve performance
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities, training, and response planning
- Monitor ESH metrics, track action items, and help prepare reports or presentations for leadership review
- Support safety reviews for new processes, equipment, installations, or operational changes
- Promote a strong safety culture through communication, coaching, and day-to-day partnership with the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- At least five years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within manufacturing, industrial, or similarly regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs, procedures, and corrective actions
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and drive practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence action across different levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or other high-technology manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting regulatory permitting and certifications
- Experience with emergency response planning, contractor safety, and safety reviews for new equipment or installations
- Familiarity with ISO-based management systems, compliance tracking tools, or EHS data systems
- Professional certifications related to safety, environmental management, or industrial hygiene
Experience with AI-driven data analysis and automation tools
