You Are

You have spent years building and maintaining Windows infrastructure at scale, and you know the difference between a solution that works in a lab and one that survives 30,000 users across time zones with different workflows, security requirements, and legacy dependencies. You think in standards, not one-offs. When someone asks for a quick fix, you see the pattern that will repeat 500 times next quarter and you build the architecture that prevents it.

You are equally comfortable deep in PowerShell debugging a provisioning failure and sitting with security and cloud teams translating compliance requirements into an endpoint configuration baseline that actually works. You do not wait for perfect documentation. You ask the right questions, map the dependencies, and design solutions that others can implement and maintain long after you move to the next problem.

You have strong opinions about patch rings, image standards, and automation workflows, and you know how to defend them without alienating the people who have to live with your decisions. At Synopsys, you will design the Windows infrastructure that powers how engineers build the technology inside every smart device on the planet.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design enterprise-scale Windows Server and Endpoint architecture, including OS provisioning standards, configuration baselines, image builds, and lifecycle management across a global multi-tenant environment
• Define and implement patch management strategy for Windows infrastructure, including patching rings, testing workflows, maintenance windows, emergency security patching processes, and exception handling
• Build automation for provisioning, configuration, patching, application deployment, compliance checks, and reporting using PowerShell, Python, and orchestration platforms
• Develop application packaging, testing, deployment, monitoring, and rollback processes that work across diverse business units and use cases
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Network, and Operations teams to ensure Windows solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, and operational standards
• Lead migration strategies from traditional endpoint management platforms to modern management approaches, including zero-touch and low-touch provisioning models
• Create and maintain architecture documents, technical standards, implementation guides, HLD/LLD documentation, and runbooks that other teams can actually use

• Strengthen security posture by embedding hardening requirements, vulnerability remediation processes, and compliance controls directly into Windows architecture and automation
• Enable faster application delivery by building deployment pipelines that application teams can use without reinventing packaging and testing every time
• Reduce operational toil by converting repetitive manual tasks into automated workflows that free engineers to focus on higher-value work
• Improve patch compliance and reduce risk by designing patch management architecture that balances speed, stability, and business continuity
• Support DevOps adoption across Windows infrastructure by promoting Infrastructure as Code, version control, automated testing, and repeatable deployments

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Windows Server and Endpoint environments in multi-tenant, large-scale settings
• Deep technical expertise in Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, Active Directory, and endpoint management platforms
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills with the ability to build production-grade scripts that others can maintain
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise patch management, application deployment, and OS provisioning solutions
• Ability to create architecture documentation including HLD, LLD, technical standards, and implementation guides that translate strategy into action
• Experience with Configuration Manager/SCCM, MDT, Windows Autopilot, Intune, or Tanium is highly desirable; exposure to REST APIs, Git/GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code concepts is a strong plus

• You see a patching failure pattern across 200 servers and immediately start building the automation and process changes that prevent it from happening again, not just fixing it manually each time
• You write PowerShell scripts that other engineers can read, modify, and trust six months later without needing you in the room to explain what it does
• You push back when a business requirement conflicts with scalability or security, and you offer an alternative that meets the need without creating technical debt downstream
• You treat documentation as a deliverable, not an afterthought, because you know that architecture only scales if other people can implement it without guessing
• You stay current on Windows management technologies and approaches, and you know when to adopt modern tooling versus when to optimize what already works
