Description
In this position, you will partner closely with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical consulting and support to grow Apple’s Business & Education business in Japan. You will leverage your deep technical acumen and relationship building skills to guide customers and reseller partners on their journey to choose the right technical architecture to achieve their goals. Through your passion for technology and capacity to connect, you will collaborate with the sales team to expand the adoption of the Apple ecosystem, all with a goal of transforming the way people work.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across Apple, with our customers, reseller channels, and other strategic solution providers to inspire change as a trusted advisor on Apple hardware, software and service solutions
- Deeply understand customers’ and partners’ organizations and technical ambitions, help remove technical barriers and friction points, and enhance customer readiness for Apple’s platform
- Quickly grasp technical concepts, processes, details, and skills, and effectively engage in architectural and technical discussions with a wide variety of audiences
- Work closely with our customers’ and partner’s technical teams to build and implement account plans that empower resellers to grow their Apple business
- Deliver the technical enablement strategy using sales and technical programs, engaging in pre-sales readiness initiatives, conducting joint field activities
- Provide technical leadership to the sales team and gain credibility, deepen relationships, and increase influence with executive leadership in your accounts
- Build and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and seminars to educate and inspire others
- Strategically leverage Apple and third party subject matter expertise to shorten the sales cycle
- Provide pre-sales technical support for new, large business opportunities — sharing status and progressing them through to closure
- Be the voice of our customers and partners to communicate use cases, new standard methodologies, successes, and key takeaways
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Background in pre-sales technical, engineering, and/or similar function selling complex technical solutions
- Deep experience in consultative sales, including: qualifying, overcoming objections and obstacles, and closing business
- Hands-on knowledge of multiple operating systems including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Passion for continuous improvement with the curiosity to uncover gaps, resilience to remove barriers to entry, and drive to optimize processes and create solutions
- Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate partner organizational structures, and lead complex negotiations
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience
- Background in a customer-facing role in IT overseeing hardware, software, and services is a plus
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure and clarity where none exists
- Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen high-level customer relationships to accelerate business growth
- Forward-thinking approach and tenacity to drive what matters
- High level of integrity, trust, and accountability to do what’s right
- Industry knowledge and understanding of the Business & Education market (e.g., customer profiles, trends, challenges, opportunities, competitive landscape, etc.) is highly preferred
