Summary

Retail and Marcom Engineering, an IS&T team, builds and operates the systems and experiences that connect Apple's products with its customers. The team owns the technology behind both Apple's online and physical stores and drives the interactive marketing experiences and tools that keep creative operations moving. Together, those functions deliver the technology behind every product story Apple tells and every purchase a customer makes.

The Marcom Engineering PMO supports the teams that build and operate Apple's marketing technology platforms - from content management and publishing infrastructure to AI-powered tools and interactive experiences. We work at the intersection of engineering and marketing, delivering the systems behind apple.com and related properties. Our AI initiatives are growing, and this role will be part of how we bring intelligent tooling into our platforms.

Description

We're looking for an Engineering Project Manager to help drive delivery of AI-powered tools and interactive experiences across Apple's marketing platforms. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams, managing the execution of cross-functional projects - tracking progress, removing blockers, and helping ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of platforms and tools that power how Apple communicates with millions of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution: Own project schedules, milestones, and deliverables across concurrent workstreams including AI-powered tools, platform capabilities, and interactive experiences. Track progress, surface gaps early, and help hold teams accountable to commitments.
  • Coordinate across teams: Support alignment between engineering, product management, design, QA, data science, and marketing partners. Help run planning sessions, standups, and retrospectives. Keep stakeholders informed on what's being built, timelines, and blockers.
  • Support AI and platform initiatives: Assist in planning and execution for AI tool development - from
  • proof-of-concept through production rollout. Track dependencies across infrastructure, data, and ML teams.
  • Identify and escalate risks: Track dependencies and flag risks proactively. Escalate with clear context and proposed paths forward when issues arise.
  • Improve how we work: Identify friction in team processes and suggest targeted improvements. Contribute to repeatable project rituals that increase predictability without adding overhead.
  • Communicate status clearly: Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status updates. Translate
  • engineering progress into concise updates for leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build technical context: Develop working familiarity with the Marcom technology stack - CMS platforms, publishing infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and AI/ML tooling - to have informed conversations with engineers and support sound scheduling decisions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering project management (or equivalent technical project management) experience in a software development environment
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple engineering teams
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills - you bring structure to ambiguity and keep work streams moving with minimal direction
  • Technical curiosity - you're comfortable reading architecture diagrams, following dependency chains, and engaging in technical discussions
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication
  • Exposure to AI/ML tool development lifecycles - experimentation, prototyping, or production deployment
  • Familiarity with web/interactive, content platforms, or marketing technology
  • Experience with CMS platforms, publishing pipelines, or front-end delivery systems
  • Interest in or exposure to data pipelines, model integration, or AI-powered product features
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum tooling (Jira, Radar, or equivalent)
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments where requirements evolve and teams are building net-new capabilities
