What you’ll do
Your typical day:
- Design and Development of Mechanical components and sub-systems
- Analyze design through simulations and/or hand calculations
- Validate design by making prototypes and performing testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional Teams for review, approval and release
- Participate actively in Idea generation forums and contribute to innovative solutions
- Understand Lam products, Business processes and Standards
Who we’re looking for
You need to know:
- Application of Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Heat and Mass Transfer and Fluid flow principles to solve engineering problems
- Knowledge of various materials and their applications
- Knowledge of machining, welding, molding, sheet-metal fabrication & casting processes
- Basic knowledge of Dimensioning, tolerances and its application in drawings
Nice to know:
- Hands-on projects that include prototyping and assembly
- Advanced manufacturing methods – Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, Water jet machining, Ceramic manufacturing
- Experience with 3D Modelling, Assembly using any CAD package
- Use of simulation tools such as Ansys, Nastran, Creo Simulate etc.
Preferred qualifications
- A B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 65% aggregate
- Graduating in 2026 without any backlogs

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
