General Summary:

  • Excellent knowledge of OS fundamentals, Linux kernel and the device driver model
  • 3+ years of Testing Experience in Embedded Systems. Mobile/Wearable QLI /Linux  will be added advantage.
  • Specific experience and expertise in any of kernel subsystems – core kernel, device drivers, memory, SMMU, ARM subsystems etc.
  • Highly skilled in debug using any debugger like T32, gdb and crash analysis sing T32, crash utility etc.
  • Expert in using tracing and other related tools to identify performance bottlenecks and solve them
  • Well versed with other development tools like tool chain, version control etc.
  • Python Scripting will be an added advantage.
  • Background experience in Android is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverages software and systems knowledge and experience to design, develop, create, and modify test cases and to validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation and/or specialized utility programs.
  • Designs and implements complex test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify a failure within a determined area of code. 
  •  Writes functional tests for complex or new features to ensure functionality.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents major software defects and reports defects to stake developers.  
  • Collaborates with others inside and outside of the testing function (e.g., software engineers) to facilitate the debugging and fixing of issues found and improve the overall quality of the product.
  •  Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
  • Identify and support core set of tools for assisting debug and test support
  • Work on latest bleeding edge ARM CPUs and features
