At AWS Professional Services, we are building a professional services team to work on customer engagements around the world, and to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity to support these customers.

In this role you will join our Field Strategy & Operations (FSO) team to help drive a consistent Rhythm of the Business (RoB) aligning with the Global ProServe RoB. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and motivated self-starter who is passionate about not only using data but also driving insights and helping leaders build strategy based on data. This role requires a track record of driving a large organization's (300+ org) operating cadence and understanding the business from both Customer Success Team (CST) and Global Delivery Organization (GDO) angles, including the full breadth of the business from order to cash (sales and delivery).

Working in close partnership with the FSO managers, Business Leaders, Central Operations, Geo Finance, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Professional Services Operations, and other cross-functional teams, you are someone who knows how to influence others to get things done. Success is all about driving operational rigor and excellence through proactive business planning and automation on regular cadences. You will earn trust by making business recommendations that are actionable, data-driven, precise, and reflect business-segment nuances and relevancy.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Business Planning:
  • Supporting end-to-end forecasting, setting guidelines for the local Geo in alignment with global guidelines. This includes revenue and billable bookings forecasting as the key responsibility of the Business Planner role.
  • Working with our Geo and Operations leaders to formulate local planning strategy in line with ProServe's worldwide strategy.
  • Owning and adapting the local planning process and framework. Ensuring that the plan considers all necessary local and global functions and addresses both local challenges and global priorities.
  • Developing data-driven analysis for our planning processes and business unit strategic initiatives.
  • Designing intimately familiar metrics required to measure business performance and comparing actual data to forecasted values.
  • Identifying the most important analyses for supporting necessary change management on business planning and Rhythm of Business in support of the long-term vision and ProServe strategy.
  • Leading a standard cadence of operations (e.g., goal setting, revenue reviews, etc.).
  • Managing and assisting in the development of the annual operating plan, which includes OP1, OP2, Get to Green, and 3 Year Plan.
Business Reviews:
  • Driving the process and framework for WBR (Weekly Business Review), MMR (Monthly Management Review), MBR (Monthly Business Review), PBR (Pipeline, Bookings, Revenue Reviews), and QBR (Quarterly Business Review), tracking of initiatives and actions as part of the business plan.
  • Supporting local Strategy Document work includes OP1 and OP2.
  • Writing compelling, precise, and data-informed narratives and having the ability to build concise and illustrative presentations suitable for presentation at the most senior leadership level.
  • Driving and supporting strategic initiatives, including key projects to establish comprehensive mechanisms.
  • Driving collaboration and coordination with all functional organizations across the Business Unit.
Program Management:
  • In this role you will be responsible for driving and delivering on key operational initiatives from ideation through implementation.
  • Providing day-to-day cross-functional coordination and program oversight, monitoring progress, reporting on status, and flagging/resolving risks to program delivery.
Up to 10% of travel expected.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in finance, business management and sales operations
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tool
  • Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results
  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform decision-making processes
  • Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
  • Experience influencing senior leaders/stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
  • Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
