Position Overview:
Build the future of rail with Siemens Mobility. As an Electrical Test & Commissioning Technician, you will work hands-on with advanced light rail vehicles, locomotives, and passenger coaches manufactured in Sacramento, California. You will test, troubleshoot, repair, and commission critical electrical systems—helping ensure every vehicle meets rigorous standards for safety, quality, reliability, and performance. What your day-to-day will look like:
- Perform electrical point-to-point wire verification and functional testing on light rail vehicles, locomotives, and passenger coaches.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Support vehicle commissioning and validation activities to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

To thrive in this role, you have:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, or related technical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment, harnessing, connector assembly, and repair practices.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs or ladders throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a rail manufacturing environment.
Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.

The pay range for this position is $45,186.00 - $53,142.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
