The Role Electric Engineering Intern in Drive Unit will have extensive hands-on experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented intern to be responsible of improvements in overall equipment efficiency, product yield, cost, and cycle time to ensure continuous production and enable world-class manufacturing of Tesla’s cutting-edge Drive Units.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a centralized library of electrical documentation.
- Drive the implementation of equipment and machinery maintenance strategies.
- Design and apply data-driven solutions for predictive maintenance.
- Lead root cause analysis of electrical failures and machine breakdowns.
- Advise on compliance with German electrical regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and plan special maintenance activities and corrective repair campaigns.
- Support supervisors in developing electrical qualification and upskilling programs for the maintenance team.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement organizational and technical improvements to maintenance workflows, tools, and system reliability.
- Continuously improve preventive maintenance procedures and processes.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of EPLAN or similar electrical CAD software is a plus.
- Familiarity with PLC programming.
- Strong proficiency in English and/or German, both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
