Electrical Commissioning System Owner, Construction

Description

The Electrical Commissioning System Owner is responsible for coordinating all commissioning activities within a defined project scope or area. This role ensures that all electrical assets handed over for factory use fully comply with applicable codes, specifications, and performance requirements. 

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams to align commissioning priorities and schedules, including participation in related meetings
• Gather and validate asset documentation, ensuring all assets have undergone proper QA verification
• Coordinate access, manpower, and energization activities required for asset testing 
• Ensure all documentation is accurately uploaded and maintained within CxAlloy 
• Facilitate the handover of assets to Facilities/Manufacturing for acceptance or return to QA for correction 
• Promote and enforce strong safety practices across all commissioning activities
• Drive schedule adherence and provide clear, accurate progress reporting

Requirements

• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of electrical codes (NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E)
• 3–5 years of management or leadership experience
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NETA ATS/MTS, and other applicable industry standards 
• Very Strong understanding and working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and electrical safety requirements 
• Advanced proficiency in electrical testing methods (megger, rotation, voltage, Ductor)
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills & excellent organizational and time management abilities
